Me llamo José Batós Palicio, resido en Oviedo-España, estoy haciendo un estudio sobre la industria tabaquera y los asturianos que dedicados a ella que emigraron a Miami.
Agradecería lo que me pudieras informar, así como si existe alguna página web a la que pudiera recurrir.
Por otra parte me ofrezco para intentar facilitar información cualquier aspecto de ésta tierra.

My name is José Batós Palicio. I live in Oviedo in Spain and am doing a study about the tobacco industry and the Asturians who were involved in that industry and emigrated to Miami.

| There is an excellent book called: Tampa Cigar Workers- by Robert P. Ingalls and Louis A. Perez, Jr; (I'm sorry I could not figure out how to underline the title of the book) that tells the history of the Cuban, Spanish and Italian immigrants that created the cigar industry in Tampa. |

Quizá me precipité al pedir información sobre la emigración, en general, de Cuba a Miami. Mi investigación va dirigida concretamente a FERNANDO PALICIO, fue propietario de marcar como HOYO DE MONTERREY, PUNCH, BELINDA y la ESCEPCION. El único dato que tengo es que fue detenido por la policía de Fidel Castro y expulsado de Cuba, murió en Hialeah, en el año 1965.
Les agradecería cualquier noticia que me puedan facilitar sobre esta persona concreta. |
