Dear all,
My name is Juan Ibáñez, and I belong to The Avilés´ rotary club (2201 district), I had finished getting news about you, while I look for information about Angel L. Cuesta in order to organize, with my Avilés´ rotarian fellow team members, a little tribute to him, probably in June.
As you point out correctly, our rotary friend Andres Barriales Ardura, wrote a little book about his person “The man who did not forget his origin”, that was published in 2000 at the same time than the first tribute, by the Asturian´s Rotarian clubs, was carried out (in Panes, the 18th of May). As all of you well know, Mr. Angel Cuesta was a rotarism notable figure who founded the first Spanish language´s Rotary Club (in La Habana), and the first Rotary Club in Spain, moreover a model person and a great benefactor of his land.
I don´t know if you could find the book, but if you didn´t can, my club could help you with pleasure.
In addition to this, we would like to invite all of you to the tribute that we are trying to prepare to your relative in Panes soon.
Kind regards,

Dear Juan: As soon as you confirm the date I will pass the news on to our side of the family (the Prieto branch). Angel had two sisters, my great grandmother Catalina, who married Jeronimo Prieto, and Manuela, whose husband was Mr. Caso. I have an aunt who will be delighted to attend and pass the word on to many of her cousins.

I haven't been on this site in a while and imagine my surprise to see so much information all at once. I to am a distant cousin of Angel La Madrid Cuesta. My name is Melody Lemons (Rego), my father's name was Vinico Rego (Ibanez) My Great Grand mother was Esperanza Cuesta Noriega, she also had at least one brother, Idalecio Cuesta. My great grandmother married Jose Ibanez Campillo. My grandmother was Carolina Ibanez Cuesta. (I have many cousins here in the Tampa area from Ignacia's decedents that I do know. My grandmother, Carolina came to the United States at the age of 16 with her 14 year old brother Luciano. She met my grandfather Jose Rego Rodriguiz of Galica in the US. I have been trying to connect the relationship between my great grandmother and Angel Cuesta and if possible find more information on my great grandmothers family.
