Documenta Madrid ha seleccionado el documental entre 900 películas presentadas, y participará en la sección oficial a concurso, junto a otros nueve largometrajes de producción española. El festival es entre el 4 y el 13 de mayo.

Luis, acabo de leer en la prensa asturiana la noticia, y te doy mi sincera enhorabuena. Llevo tiempo encantado con esta historia y me alegra muchísimo que hayas hecho este documental. Me gustaría verlo. ¿Habrá alguna posibilidad de comprarlo a través de Internet? ¿O lo vas a mostrar en Nueva York? Te agradezcon cualquier respuesta por adelantado.

También quiero felicitar a los fundadores de Asturianus.org, pues gracias a ellos y a este foro esta historia interesantísima de la emigración asturiana se ha ido conociendo en Asturias. Tu documental es, parcialmente, un fruto indirecto.

Si me ayudas a encontrar un sitio para proyectarlo en Nueva York, yo encantado.
Sobre la compra aún no puedo decir nada, pues el tema de la distribución es complicado para un trabajo tan modesto como el mío, y ahora estoy en otras cosas. Todo llegará.

El día 12 de mayo se estrena en EE.UU., en Charleston (WV), y yo estaré allí.

Concerning the purchase of the film, I can not tell you anything yet, cause the distribution issue is not easy with a docu film so modest like mine, and nowadays I am busy with other matters. Everything will come...

The US premiere will be in Charleston (WV), next 12th of May, and I will be there.

Hombre, si lo colgaras en YouTube, vpod, o similar, yo lo podría ver. Pero querrás controlar la distribución de tu documental.

Las proyecciones de AsturianUS en Documenta Madrid son abiertas a todo el mundo, pero hay que pagar entrada (supongo que de 3 a 5 €)
Compra la entrada con suficiente antelación, pues se proyectarán otras películas junto a la mía (creo que dos más), así que habrá asturianos, pero también otra mucha gente que vaya a ver las otras...
La taquilla cierra 15 minutos antes de que empiece la proyección

El sabado 5, se proyectó en la sala 8 de los cines Princesa de Madrid, el documental "Asturian.US", dentro de la IV edición del Festival DOCUMENTA-MADRID

Como podeis ver en la noticia, es uno de los titulos que la crítica del festival destaca entre los presentados.

Y como yo tengo "información privilegiada" , os contaré ademas que a la gente que lo vió, le gustó mucho, y que como se proyectaba junto con otros dos documentales, la opinión generalizada era "que no habia color", que sin duda era el mejor de todos.

A Luis Argeo, le arropó, ademas de sus hermanos, toda la pandilla de asturianos en Madrid y algunos asturianos que viajaron expresamente para estar con él en este dia.

Despues se organizó una fiesta, que duró hasta altas horas de la madrugada,
cuentan las malas lenguas, que aùn se estan reponiendo

Gracias por el reportaje, Mafalda!!! Me alegro que Luis haya estado tan arropado en Madrid.

También quiero aprovechar para felicitar a Lucinda Torre, la directora de "Resistencia", el otro documental asturiano que está entre los 4 mejores, este sobre los despedidos de Duro Felguera. Me alegro sobremanera de que haya aguantado el tirón y no se haya dejado amedrantar por los que salieron en la tele pidiendo el boicot de su estreno en Gijón.

I also wish to take this opportunity to congratulate Lucinda Torre, director of "Resistencia", the other Asturian documentary considered to be among the top four. This one is about the massive lay-offs at Duro Felguera. I am especially happy that she held her ground and did not allow herself to be intimidated by those who called for a boicot of the film's premiére in Gijón.
