When a spammer uses the same server as we do, this can cause AsturianUS.org emails to be refused by some services. On August 21, 2003, for example, AOL shut out messages from our host's server. It appears that another user on the server had been sending spam. As I understand it, this usually means that the server managers have to kick out the spammer and then negotiate with spam-monitoring groups to regain approval.
If you believe that you're not receiving messages from our site, please let me know and I'll check it out.

If you're an AOL subscriber, you may want to use another email address. This forum is still being blocked by AOL, even though we are not on the banned list.
One member reports that AOL is also blocking emails from her relatives in Spain. Maybe these silly decisions on the part of AOL are a sign of its looming demise.

AOL people, if you are not receiving messages you can do what I did. I signed up for a free YAHOO email address (go to www.yahoo.com). Yahoo does not block messages from this forum and I have had better luck receiving messages from family in Spain using YAHOO.
