Site down today - Página no funcionó hoy

The AsturianUS.org site was down for much of today due to a major failure in the power system at the Texas facility that houses the server that hosts our website. This outage affected a great many websites. Our hosting company has been extremely reliable for a number of years. They actually purchase space for their servers in a much larger facility which offers multiple safeguards to prevent outages like this. Unfortunately, a switching device which was supposed to change to an alternate power source failed, so the safeguards couldn't work either.

Everything should be fine now.

El sitio web AsturianUS.org no funcionó durante mucho del día de hoy debido a un fallo importante en el sistema de energía en el centro de datos en Texas donde se aloja el servidor que aloja nuestra página. Este apagón afectó a un gran número de sitios web. Nuestra empresa de alojamiento ha sido muy fiable para bastantes años. En realidad compran espacio para sus servidores en un centro mucho más grande que ofrezca múltiples garantías para evitar los cortes como este. Por desgracia, un dispositivo de conmutación que se suponía que cambiar de una fuente de energía hasta una alternativa no funcionó, por lo que las salvaguardas tampoco funcionaron.
