Hello Everyone,
I received a call last night informing me that there will be a Spanish Festival on October 2, 2011, Sunday, at Stonewood, West Virginia, between the hours of 1 pm to 5pm. It is being held at the Stonewood Fire Department and is open to all Spanish peoples and visitors.
Stonewood is a community outside Clarksburg. Clarksburg is a community where many Asturians first came to live and work in the early 1900's. My dad came in January, 1920, and so we plan to attend because it is a homecoming for me and I want to meet as many of the Asturian descendants as possible.
I do not have many of the details or the contact persons or telephone numbers as of this posting. It was told to me that this may be the last time it is held and there may not be another chance for us Asturian descendants to gather again in West Virginia.
Bring your cameras and please help to make this a memorable opportunity to make history.
