|The Centro Asturiano de Tampa(CentroAsturianoTampa.org) continues to celebrate its legacy with some upcoming events:
11th Annual Dia de Asturias
Sunday - September 9

11:15 Doors open
11:30 Cultural lecture on an Asturian topic by professor Martin Favata
12:00 Procession of the Santina
12:00 Tapas & Main course - arroz con pollo from the Columbia Restaurant
1:00 Presentation of the ship model, 'Covadonga' to the club by the family of Gus Rodriguez
1:15 Annual Jinete award presentation to Jose R Caldevilla, posthumously
1:30 Entertainment by local artists
This is a major fundraiser for the club and usually attracts 240 or so attendees.
Price is $40 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under.

Also in February 2013, the club's building will celebrate 100 years of service to the Asturian immigrant community in Tampa. While most of that first wave is gone, we're still here. Take a peek at the new website.
