llamuerga - quagmire/mud/slime - charco/lodo/lama

Post by Marta Elena Díaz García »

This is a nice word that means:

Charco, lodazal = quagmire
Lodo, fango = mud
Lama, cieno = slime, silt

There are some Asturian locutions:
Fiu, andes fechu una llamuerga = My son, you look a sight or son, you are grubby.

Tas fechu una llamuerga = You have a lot of ailments or you are useless to do something.

I believe that my English translation does not reflect the exact meaning of the Asturian locutions.
