FABARIEGA-FERTILE LAND FOR GROWING BEANS-TIERRA FERTIL HABAS

Post by Marta Elena Díaz García »

Fabariega means a soil that is specially adequate for growing “fabes”.

Also, “fabariegu” is used for those who love eating “fabes”.

I know a small village, near where I live, called “La Fabariega”, name which highlights the quality of the land for beans growth.

Wow! I would ever have thought that there would be word for a soil good for growing certain crops. In the case of fabes, though, that makes perfect sense because they seem to be fickle about the soil and climate.

Thanks from a fabariegu, Marta!

¡Wao! Me asombro. Nunca hubiera pensado que habría palabras para un buen suelo para ciertos cultivos. En el caso de fabes, sin embargo, tiene mucho sentido, ya que parecen ser sensible al suelo y el clima.

¡Gracias de un fabariegu, Marta!
