Gonzalez, Miranda, Fernandez, family Villanueva, Grado

Post by Cristina Fernandez »

Hello
My name is Cristina Maria-Luisa Fernandez. My father was Francisco Douglas Fernandez, born 1909 in San Francisco.

I am wanting to locate information on his Father Jose Fernandez as well as his brother Fernando Fernandez who moved to Cuba around 1910 (wife Carmen, children Nina, Lily, Jose (?)) and information on other family members from Villanueva, Grado, Asturias, Spain- possibly still living there

Here is information on my grandmother that I have that is certain:
Born: Born January 25, 1870, Villanueva, Asturias, Spain
Died: October 13, 1950, Los Angeles CA
Father: Francisco Gonzalez Busto
Mother: Luisa Miranda (married Luisa Gonzalez)
Spouse: Jose Fernandez
boat to Havana Cuba 1907, then gave birth to my father 1909 San Francisco
Second Spouse: Jose (Joseph) Moga (born Bonifacio Jose Martin Moga Mananet; August 21, 1883, Catalonia, Spain; died Januart 5, 1969 Tremp, Catalonia, Spain).

I located a family tree on MyHeritage.com that seems certain to be connected to my family as the mother and father of my grandmother are listed as married. My grandmother is however not listed on this particular family tree as their daughter.

Here is that information if it is indeed her family:
My great gandmother:
Luisa Miranda Sarasola (married Luisa Gonzalez)
Born: July 29, 1837 Alcubiella, la Mata, Grado, Asturias, Spain
Died: 1894
Father: Fernando Miranda Garcia, Born 1797
Mother: Manuela Miranda (born Sarasola Mendez)
Husband: Francisco Gonzalez Busto
Husband: Javier Neyra Y Alvarez Cienfuegos (Villanueva, Pareda, Asturias)
Siblings: Ramon Miranda Sarasola (1824-); Andres Miranda Sarasola (1826-1826); Antolin Miranda Sarasola (1828-); Clara Miranda Sarasola (1831-1834); Clara Miranda Sarasola (1834-1834); Simona Miranda Sarasola (1835-); Genoveva Miranda Sarasola (1839-); Calixto Miranda Sarasola (1842-); Adelaida Miranda Sarasola (1846-)

My great grandfather
Francisco Gonzalez Busto

Died:
Father: Manuel Gonzalez
Mother: Antonia Gonzalez (born Busto)
Spouse: Luisa Gonzalez (born Miranda Sarasola)
Siblings

Hola Jasm,

Hello Cristina, your ancestor did not collect taxes, at that time, the electors were chosen from those who paid taxes, a taxpayer (Person required by law to pay a tax).
The problem is that Fernandez is a surname very common in Spain, without more data it is impossible to reduce the search.
