Gracias Art, por tus palabras, aunque el post es más a actuaciones, en epidemias del siglo XIX en Asturias y España, la gripe española se menciona de pasada, la gripe española se cree que apareció por primera vez en Kansas, y es Española por que España era neutral en la I Guerra Mundial, y no se censuraba la información, a esa gripe también en Asturias se le conoció como el mal de moda.

That's a very interesting explanation of how the 1918 influenza became known as the "Spanish Influenza."
FWIW, there were Asturians and Spaniards in Kansas in 1918 working in metallurgical industries.
