Short Asturian novel in Castilian-Novela corto en castellano

Post by Art »

I'm taking a Spanish language class I which I need to read a short novel in Castilian. Short stories aren't acceptable. I'm hoping to find something related to Asturias. I think La Regenta is over 1000 pages, so that won't do. Any other ideas?

¿Otras ideas?

Propuesta de libro

Post by Mr Reivaj »

Art,
Si te parece seguimos hablando y me dices tus intenciones e interés.
Salud

En castellano

Post by Mr Reivaj »

¡A ver!

Saludos

Yes, because it's a class in Castilian, the book has to be that, too.

Well, it would also really be a struggle to read in Asturian. I'm getting used to Asturian by reading in the forum. Some messages I can't understand and others I can. Some day I hope to read better in Asturian.

Thanks for the suggestions, Mr. Reivaj. I'ved downloaded the book Comadres by your friend Pilar Sánchez Vicente.

By the way, one of the things I find fascinating about this forum is that I get to "meet" people like you who are highly involved in the cultural side of Asturias. I sense that it's harder to find that sort of contact here in the US. Or maybe it's that we're so much larger in numbers that the people we meet seem like "small fish".

Best wishes!

Mr Reivaj
