Milio Rodriguez Cueto

Post by Terechu »

The best book, by far, I've read this year is the collection of short stories by Milio Rodriguez Cueto "L'últimu volador" (The last fire works rocket). I had already read many of them in La Nueva España; most are very funny, some will move you to tears and the rest are bittersweet, but they will all touch your soul. They are very Asturian, very contemporary, very original, very clever and witty.
It's very easy to read by anyone who speaks contemporary Asturian and it's great fun, too.

Un saludu

Recomendo...

[Art: Lo siento, ha cerrado: Llibros Alborá en Xixón. El dueno te ayudará. Me resulta muy simpático y listo.]

Quizás también sea útil este artículo:
http://servicios.elcomerciodigital.com/ ... C-151.html

------------

I'd recommend....

[Art: I'm sorry, it´s closed: Llibros Alborá in Xixón. The owner will help you. I found him to be really kind and sharp.]

You might also find this article helpful:
http://servicios.elcomerciodigital.com/ ... C-151.html

In part it says, "Gijon's Alborá Llibros, Oviedo's Paraxuga, and Avilés' La Seronda are, with Oviedo's Trabe, reference bookstores of Asturian culture.

Who says that nobody reads books in Asturian? I've been looking for "Románticu" all over Gijón and not only didn't I find a single copy, but was also told by the librarian at "Alborá" bookstore that both are out of print!
