El Presidente del Consejo de Comunidades, Manuel Fernández de la Cera, presidió el pasado sábado, día 4, la reunión del Comité Científico del III Congreso Mundial de Asturianía, que se celebró a partir de las 10:30 horas en la Sala de Juntas del Edificio Administrativo de Servicios Múltiples (EASMU) de Oviedo. Posteriormente, a las 12;00h, con la asistencia del Director General de Relaciones Institucionales y del Servicio Jurídico, Manuel Cabaleiro, tuvo lugar la reunión del Comité Organizador del III Congreso Mundial de Asturianía.

En ambas reuniones se ha decidido centrar los debates en los siguientes bloques temáticos:

- Bloque I. Los Centros Asturianos y la proyección de la cultura asturiana en el exterior.

- Bloque II. Emprendedores y profesionales asturianos fuera de Asturias. La nueva emigración.

- Bloque III. La participación de la mujer en los Centros Asturianos. El problema de la integración de los jóvenes en los Centros Asturianos.

- Bloque IV. Asturias Solidaria. Las necesidades asistenciales de los asturianos fuera de Asturias, con referencia especial a los Centros Asturianos de América. El emigrante retornado; su problemática.

Este III Congreso Mundial de Asturianía, que se celebrará en Gijón del 1 al 3 de agosto de 2006, se completará con tres talleres geográficos:
- España,
- América y
- Europa y resto del mundo.

Además se ha elegido como lema del III Congreso:

Un roble que en ramas se renueva,
Un Carbayu que reverdez en rames nueves.


Los dos Comités se reunirán regularmente para seguir configurando contenidos y diseño del Congreso, y están integrados por las siguientes personalidades:

The President of the Council of Communities, Manuel Fernández de la Cera, presided last Saturday, the 4th, at the meeting of the Scientific Committee of the Third Asturian World Congress, which was celebrated at 10:30 in the Meeting Room of the Administrative Building of Multiple Services (EASMU) of Oviedo. Later at 12 noon, with the assistance of the General Manager of Institutional Relations and of the Juridical Service, Manuel Cabaleiro, a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Third Asturian World Congress was held.

In both meetings it has been decided to center the discussion on the following thematic blocks:

- Block I. The Asturian Centers and the projection of the Asturian culture in the exterior [outside Asturias].

- Block II. Entrepreneurial and professional Asturians outside of Asturias. The new emigration.

- Block the III. The participation of women in the Asturian Centers. The problem of the integration of young people in the Asturian Centers.

- Block the IV. Asturian Solidarity. The welfare needs of the Asturians outside of Asturias, with special reference to the Asturian Centers of America. The returned emigrant and his/her problems.

This Third Asturian World Congress, which will be celebrated in Gijon from August 1 to August 3, 2006, will be rounded out with three geographical workshops:
- Spain,
- America and
- Europe and rest of the world.

In addition, a motto [theme] for the Third Congress has been chosen:

An oak whose branches are revitalized,
An oak that turns green with new branches.

[Carbayu is known as English oak, pedunculate oak, truffle oak]
