100 years in the United States

It's been exactly 100 years since my bisabuela Tomasa Garcia Alonso emigrated to the U.S. for the first time on September 14, 1907.

That is pretty freaking cool. What guts those people had.

Yeah, maybe that's part of what draws us to their story, that willingness to risk all. Does that make us timid voyeurs?
