Asturian bridges

Post by hawks9 »

Does anybody know of any bridges built in Asturias by an Englishman? I was told that he married into my family and is related. My guess is that this occurred sometime in the 19th century. It could possibly be a railroad bridge. I have had no luck researching Asturian bridges online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very anecdotally, I've heard of an English military engineer who designed a bridge (during the 19th century?) near Grado, which is Grao or Grau in Asturian in case you search online. Again, I'm not qualified to answer your question, but have echoes of this info recorded in my brain. Try searching with your relative's last name and the name of this city/county in Asturias.
