Me presento, Eva Rodriguez Brana, Washington DC & Asturi

Sou asturiana, pero vivi 10 anos en Washington DC y cada vez que puedo regreso a esta ciudad. No sabia que hubiera tantos descendientes de asturianos en EEUU y que ademas estuvieran tan interesandos en sus raices y en en todas las manifestaciones de la cultura astur. Me llena de orgullo. La verdad es que los asturianos tenemos una gran apego a nuestra tierra y llevamos a mucha gala eso de ser asturianos. Y estamos en todas partes. Contaba una vez el ex-presidente Felipe Gonzalez (y esto es totalmente veridico) que un viaje a Australia le presentaron a un cacique ( y perdonar, pero no me acuerdo del nombre de la isla de la que este sernor era el cacique) que tambien se llamaba Felipe Gonzalez. El ex-presidente le pregunto: ?Usted es tambien andaluz?. Y el otro Felipe Gonzalez le contesto: " No me no. Yo soy asturianu". ?Y que hace un asturiano por estas tierras", pregunto el ex-presidente. Y el asturiano contesto: "Caseme con la fia del cacique, el cacique murio y ahora yo soy el cacique".

Los asturianos sabeis todas estas cosas, pero a lo mejor los asturianos americanos no lo saben.
Y estoy encantada de estar en este Forum. Ah, me llamo Eva Rodriguez Brana y naci en un pequeno "pueblin" del occidente asturiano. Y ahora mismo estoy (octubre 2008) en mi querido Washington DC.

Soy de un pueblecito que se llama Grandas de Salime, pero a los 3 años fui a vivir a Avilés.

La verdad es que no acabo de hacerme con vuestra pagina Web y no sé muy bien que hacer para traducir mi presentacion o para contestar a un e-mail (ahora mismo lo estoy haciendo sin saber si esta bien o mal).
