Peter, it's said that honey bees are agitated by black clothing, although I wore black jeans with impunity last week when a friend in Soto de Luiña opened a colony for me.

Ah, the things we give up for love (like vegetables and oats)!

All in one day?! How long a run or hike was that?

Do you envision staying in Berodia over winter?

-------------------------

hey guys

nnno- havent kicked the bucket yet

the bucket/s rather still kickin me = schlepping daily shitloads of buckets of ... well: shit/cuchu up there to la sierra for the garden i start/ed] -- but let me back up a tic::

yes- bought a little piece of dirt [la sierra] here in the hamlet last year [some of you who came to visit know it already - and talking of which: whoever wants to come up here - please do! write an email or call/text me (681225565) or just show up and ask for that crazy kraut who roams that kaff ... they all know me ].

then last summer i built a basecamp - la choza -- all by hand and all by myself [mixed ... here we go again: in a bucket bitxbit 10 tons of sand and gravel and godknowshowmanybagsofcement]. the shed is set in a very steep inaccesible location [katzensprung outside the village - kinda overlooking it - facing south - those moutherfuckermountains smack in front of you]. thus had to dig first caminos so i could wheelbarrow all the materials down. had to start from scratch.

infrastructure as well as other thinkgs growing bit charmingly morsel by morsel... just planted 5 more fruit-trees. also have the garlic and peas and potatoes and beets and swiss chard and carrots and onions down yet in la huerta -- and much more to dig and sow this year.

but dont just want to end up turning myself in a vegetable gardening. latest project: plans on buying and restoring cabaña in a puerto here. also started much walking/hiking again [which last year couldnt do much due to setting up base]. also started visiting many villages around here and meeting other folks. and using the bike more... going on it to posada and the beach. or arriondas and cangas... in the summer more of that and other fieldtrips... hay que respirar... also want to travel more abroad in the future while i have the sap [los picos are nice ... but even more so when one gets off his ass and outa here more often].

anyhow- just want to say hi - & send a signal. please come whenever.

miss you [used to have internet here in the village before... but up in la sierra i live a bit =unplugged= .. so sorry i still cant participate in the forum.... but hopefully will get some kind of internet-hookup figured out this year].

will be in touch.

(un)kraut (ver)geht nicht.

for now [with special thanks to tere and art and paul and bob etc ] - hug - pit from los picos
