Pues eso ye una pena que nun sepie falar en ingles pero talantolo un plizquin y prestenme muncho los cantares tradicionales de los USA,dalgunos como "Rose of Alabama" o "the Yellow Rose of Texas","If i had a hammer" "bringing the sheaves" "Cottom Fields" "i'm a poor old rebel" "the batle Hymn of the Republic" vamos que toi mui intereseu nos cantares tradicionales americanos pero dende fai tiempu qu'ando a la cata d'un que nun lu atopo per nengun lleu y ye un entituleu "We shall gather in the river(pame que s'escribe asina)" col qu'entamaba una de les mios pelicules favorites "The Wild Bunch",asina qu'agradeceriavos que me dixereis onde pue atopar la lletra.
Tamien toi intereseu nel Bluegrass pero nun conozo muncho y prestariame enforma que daquien me recomendare dalgun interprete o grupu o cantar tradicional de Bluegrass.

cierto la cancion era "shall we gather at the river" y salia en la pelicula de Sam Peckinpah "Grupo Salvaje",cuando Pike Dutch y compaña asaltan la oficina del ferrocarril.Por cierto soy un admirador de Sam Peckinpah(quien veraneaba en Llanes Asturies)y espero encontrar entre los amigos americanos a alguno que comparta esa aficion.
Te pido disculpas Art por escribir en Asturianu,simplemente pensaba que todas las Lenguas Romances se entendian bastante bien.
Decia que me encantan las canciones tracionales Americanas(por cierto la de "I'm a poor old rebel" era en realidad "I'm a good old rebel" una cancion sudista salia en la pelicula "The Long Riders" sobre la vida de uno de mis personajes favoritos "Jesse James" espero no ofender a nadie)tambien las canciones de la Guerra Civil Norteamericana,gospel,....
Y tambien decia que estoy muy interesado en el "Bluegrass" pero no conozco mucho al respecto y me gustaria que alguien me recomendase interpretes,grupos,canciones cuanto mas tradicionales mejor.
Por cierto soy un admirador de Pete Seeger y uno de mis sueños es conocerlo personalmente y espero hacerme con un disco que va a sacar junto a otros autores sobre la Brigada Linconl que lucho contra el Fascismo en la Guerra Civil española.

Gracias por la tradución. No hay necesidad pedir disculpes. Me encanta muchísimo intentar leer asturianu. He estudio castellano, francés, y un poco de portugués, pero--desgraciadamente--para mí asturianu es difícil leer. Lucho por leer las otras, también. En tiempo, quiero acostumbrame a asturianu, también. (Bueno, no estoy fenomenal en castellano, como ves. ¡Seguramente, luchas leer este mensaje!)

Tal vez, vale decir también que hay muchos Asturiano-Americanos que no leen castellano ni asturianu. !Nuestros padres no nos enseñaron las lenguas!

Veo al menos dos posibilidades (puede ser veas otra):
--Quienes quieren escribir en asturianu pueden escribir en ambos lenguas (asturianu y castellano) para que más gente pueden aprender y entender.

--O si alguien quiere traducir los mensajes asturianus a castellano y/o inglés, sería estupendo, también.

Thanks for the translation. There's no need to ask for forgiveness. I'm greatly charmed by trying to read Asturianu. I've studed Castilian, French, and a little Portuguese, but -- unfortunately -- for me Asturianu is difficult to read. I fight to read the others, too. In time, I hope want get accustomed to Asturianu, too. (Well, I am not phenomenal in Castilian, as you see. Surely, you'll fight to read this message!)

Maybe, it's worth saying, too, that there are many Asturian-Americans who do not read Spanish or Asturianu! Our parents did not teach us the languages!

I see at least two possibilities (you may see another):
- Those who want to write in Asturianu could write in both languages (Asturianu and Castilian) in order that more people can learn and to understand.

- Or if someone wants translater the Asturianu messages into Castilian and/or English, that would be fantastic, too.

I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts.
