Asturian genetic structure

Post by Bob »

Here is an open access article on the genetics of the Asturian population and its implications for the origins and histories of local populations within Asturias, kept partially isolated from one another by geographic, political and other factors. While it is an original scientific publication, it is quite readable for non-specialists. Just ignore what you don;t understand and focus on the ideas and interesting conclusions. Antonio Fernández Pardiña, now at the University of Cardiff in Wales, wrote his Ph.D. thesis on this topic, and was kind enough to send me quite a few of his publications.
