I am 7/8 Asturian and 1/8 from Galicia. I was born in Cuba and I am
American citizen, I am very proud to be an American.

I remember my mom refused to be called " Latin", it was an insult for her.
My mother said she was Asturian or Cuban or American.
The politicians know the Cuban born Americans and their families refuse
to accept the " Hispanic" or " Latin" label, we always say Cuban.
Once somebody asked my daughter where she was from and my daughter
said " Cuba"..then the person asked her when did you come ?(from Cuba)and my daughter said: I have never been in Cuba!
Cubans and the USA have been always been very close. We always
loved and respected our Uncle Sam. We came to the USA and our Uncle
Sam received us with love and we are very grateful.

It is very confusing for some people to understand Cuba's situation.
Cubans are one people, separated by two brothers that have been
destroying Cuba for 50 years...
