Gallego d'Asturies

Post by zancañeru »

Asturias has three languages: Castillian, Asturian and Galician. Galician is spoken in the western and southwestern counties. There are magazines and newspapers in Asturias written in Galician; also there are literary awards for poetry, novel, theatre and short story.

Galician is a dinamic language, with lot of support and funding from the Galician government. Its speakers increase in the Asturian side of the border. The music and recipes of those western counties is very similar to the Galician ones.
