Primero, por una custión de Democracia, de meros Drechos Humanos.
Mientres nun haya Oficialidá, los astur-falantes nun tendremos igual de Drechu a la Llibertá d'espresión que los esclusivamente castellano-falantes, tien que ser el ciudadanu, la presona qu'escueya la Llingua que quier emplegar nun-y la pue escoyer l'alministración.
Segundo, por una custión inteleutual y cultural. Como dixi notru foru ensin conocer l'Asturianu nunca se podrá conocer la rialidá d'Asturies, nin muncho menos afondar n'ella.
Tercero. Por una delda hestórica que tenemos colos nuesos raigaños, antepasaos, quiénes sufrieron los insultos y el ser estremaos como güerianos inorantes, por falar na so Llingua. Hebría que facer un homenax Públicu a esa xente que caltuvo una ayalga cultural que llego a dalgunos pocos de forma patrimonial.

Ye perimportante pa poder caltener esta llingua tan guapa.

Por supuesto que el asturiano debe d ser oficial. Mucha gente piensa que ello conlleva una imposición
pero esto no es exacto. Basta con delimitar eltipo de oficialidad, una oficialidad que proteja a los usuarios del asturiano pero que no obligue a nadie a usarlo. Es sólo una cuestión de libertad individual. Por el momento los usuarios del asturiano no cuentan con esta libertad.

Yes, speakers of Asturian should have their rights recognized by making the language official--as has been done with Galician, Basque and Catalan. As of now, the whole talk by the ruling PSOE government (and the PP as well) is extortionary: a segment in the population is trying to "impose" Asturian. This is an absolute false syllogism and a political maneuver of scant morals, as well as of dubious intelligence. Since when is learning a language actually "bad" for your brain? I myself speak 8 languages and have not suffered neocortical damage from learning Asturian...
