April Fool's Day

In the EEUU, the first day of April is April Fool's Day, a day for playing jokes on friends and relatives. Does the same custom exist in Asturias?

In Spain, and also in other countries, we have a similar celebration on Dec. 28, the so-called "Día de los Santos Inocentes" (Innocent Saints Day). The origin of the festivity is not so joyful though, since it commemorates Herod's slaughter of the infants in Bethlehem.
