My FTDNA mtdna haplogroup is H3k. Also seems to be very Celtic. I get no matches from Spain. They all seem, to be Scotland, Ireland and England.

Josephine, the only picture that I have here is of the 6 youngest Garcia children. From left to right they are Olga, Mary, Genevieve (GeeGee), Margaret, Joe (Duce), and Sabrina.

Hi Marta
In the cemetaries in the United States it is different than Spain. Our graves stay no matter how long. I was very surprised when I visited Aviles and learned that I wouldn't be able to find old graves of family members.

Beyos cheese

Is it possible to use another kind of cheese? I have never seen the Beyos and I don't see it on La Tienda.

It shows his paternal grandmother as Juana Fernandez Quevedo Heres . It says that she was from Gozon. Her husband was Pedro Alonso. Is this a nam...

I have had the Padron Peppers three times this summer and so far no hot ones. When I grew them last summer it didn't seem to matter how big or how small they were, sometimes a small one would be extra hot.

I pick them when they are 1 1/2 to 2 inches. I don't let any of them get too big because I want them to keep producing new peppers. I think my Mom let some of hers get bigger, and maybe red, last year and she thought they were good. I just sauté them in a very small amount of olive oil (just enough ...

It is my understanding that the birth certificate is what gives you citizenship, but if you don't get a passport within three years you will lose your citizenship. The lady that I talked to said that if it were her she would get the passport before the law ends (Dec 2011).

No, I could go any day and any time. I did have a very long wait because they were really busy. I really didn't mind the wait because it was obvious that they were truly swamped.
