These are two conundrums that my grandmother told me. Rolling Eyes
1. Redondina ye, preñadina tá, furaquín nun tien, ¿per onde parirá? Embarassed

(Tentative translation: Roundy it is, pregnant it is, it has not hole, how will it give birth?). Sorry, once translated all the humour is lost.

Twisted Evil

(Tentative trnaslation: I had it fat. I wanted it even more fat, so that it does not fit between my legs). Same comments that above.

Both are quite easy....I am waiting your answers...... Rolling Eyes
Marta. Very Happy

Oh, boy.... I'll take a shot.

Could the first one be a chicken in its egg shell? I'm not sure we'd say it was "pregnant."

Or maybe it's an insect's egg cluster on a twig. The praying mantis would be an example of an insect like that.

For the second one, I--like Terechu--was thinking of a pig, but....

I really like the way Asturian humor can be earthy.

---------

Vaya....

1) Like Art, I think it is an egg with a chick developing inside.

2) A cat?? Mine are forever walking around my ankles and between my legs.

A very old one for you (in English)

On the way, a miracle,
Water become bone.

--------------------------------------------
1)It can't be egg becouse in Asturian the word egg is feminine and we need find a masculine word.In my oppinion the word we are looking for is boroña (but we call it boroñu when its pregnant)

2)then speaking of eggs...... Very Happy can be a lot of things. The one of the pig it is a good idea but its not due to forget that has double sense and that it is for making think us badly

Bob, "Water become bone" .... could it be a stalactite?

--------------------------------------------

You are really funny :D . I laugh at your answers....but they are far from the solution....
No eggs, no insects....(for the first one)
No pigs, no cats.....(for the second)
Chris is right.....remember the double sense.

And that of Bob....
May be an icicle? :?: Double sense also :?:

Here is another asturian conundrum....
"Ye ovalau, con pelus a los llaus"
(Translation: It is oval, with hairs on the edges)

For the second one, how about a wallet or purse or handbag? Well, I've never had a fat one, but it would be nice, wouldn't it?

---------
